Fans on Reddit have strongly criticized Glenn Danzig. The controversy emerged from promotional materials for Danzig’s U.S. tour featuring imagery that resembles the Nazi ‘Black Sun’ symbol.

“I don’t think Danzig is racist or anything. I don’t think he cares about sociopolitical issues all that much,” one fan stated. “But it’s still HIS responsibility to make sure his merch isn’t Nazi merch and this is Nazi merch.”

“Maybe this is his way of being cancelled so he doesn’t have to play Misfits reunion shows anymore,” another fan commented on the thread.

“I’ve been a Misfits and Danzig fan going way back and frequently play his music at open mics,” a longtime fan added. “I’ll always love the music, but I can’t show love for an artist who uses Nazi imagery like this.”

The situation continues to develop. Several important factors have emerged that illuminate the broader implications for both the artist and the metal community.
