Jaime Bennington has been receiving threats after sharing details about Linkin Park guitarist Brad Delson.

The musician reposted a message from an Instagram account called Supporter of Jaime Bennington. The post included a screenshot of Mike Shinoda’s Discord message, where Shinoda addressed Delson’s reduced role in touring. Shinoda wrote, “He made a statement about it, which you should read. Touring got to be less and less of a good fit for Brad as he got older. For one thing, he doesn’t like noisy places! That alone could be a deal breaker. But there’s so much diversity in the way people’s brains and their personalities are made.”

Shinoda added, “We were happy to figure out a great way for him to be involved in ways that are a great fit for him and us. Think about introverts and extroverts. A crowd makes one person energized, and makes another person exhausted. Yeah, Brad made a rare ‘Brad post’ about it! We love that guy, and want him to participate in the band in whatever ways are the best fit for him.”

Following this, Jaime shared screenshots of threats made against the account that posted Shinoda’s words. A fake account wrote, “Delete this f*cking account before it’s too late. Sh*t post. You don’t know ANYTHING. Literally ANYTHING. You have two days.”

The account, Supporter of Jaime Bennington, responded, “Before it’s too late?? Are you threatening me??” The threatening account replied, “What do you think? Delete this account right now. I know people. Today it’s your last day, your last chance to delete this f*cking account.”

Jaime addressed the situation in an Instagram story, saying, “People don’t just threaten me. They threaten people who might align with me as well. And it’s been that way from the very beginning. This behavior is unacceptable. Keep your eyes out for accounts like the one threatening this user. Report them if they interact with you in this way. Thank you for being brave enough to share this interaction!”

Brad Delson has stepped back from touring with Linkin Park. Shinoda explained that Delson doesn’t enjoy the touring lifestyle but remains the band’s guitarist. Delson will focus on studio work and helping design performances. Alex Feder was selected as the new touring guitarist. Despite the changes, Delson was heavily involved in the creation of Linkin Park’s latest album, ‘From Zero,’ their first since ‘One More Light.’
