Review Overview

Judas Priest closed out the Faithkeepers tour at the Eventim Apollo in London on 21 September 2026. The 5,300-capacity room is small next to the arenas that carried most of the run. That made the night feel less like a routine stop and more like proof of how firmly the band still holds its audience.

The set leaned on the classics Priest fans come for. It also made room for later material, with “You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’,” “Metal Gods,” “Breaking the Law,” “The Sentinel,” “Turbo Lover” and “No Surrender” all in the running order. The balance showed how the band treats its own history: as a working catalogue, not a museum piece.

Musicianship was the show’s strongest asset. The playing was precise and the pacing tight. Even listeners who came only for the hits had little to complain about.

Crowd energy peaked on the songs everyone knew. Singalongs carried the biggest numbers, while quieter passages pulled the room into close attention. Nobody treated this as a casual rock night out.

It played as a gathering of people who take heavy metal seriously. The atmosphere was loud and warm without tipping into chaos. That suits a band whose appeal rests as much on shared ritual as on surprise.

The Eventim Apollo worked in the band’s favour. Its size kept the sound clear and present in a way bigger halls often blur. A 9:15 p.m. start and a 10:50 p.m. finish left no room for drag.

Nothing went wrong badly enough to become the story of the night. The production stayed out of the way and let the performance carry the room. Priest has never needed much decoration.

One detail gave the date extra weight. Ian Hill missed his first Judas Priest show since joining the band 56 years earlier. That absence turned a tour closer into a marker of how long this band has been running, and how steadily it still operates.

For younger metal fans, the night showed where a lot of the genre’s reference points come from. Priest played like a band with something left to prove, and the room answered in kind.

Summary
A steady, well-executed closing night that confirmed Judas Priest still commands a room of this size on the strength of its playing and its catalogue. The crowd matched the band's discipline, and the venue's scale kept the sound sharp throughout. The set balanced familiar material with newer songs without losing momentum. The evening reads as a solid statement of where the band stands in its current era.
