New Arch Enemy singer Lauren Hart, who recently joined the band after Alissa White-Gluz’s exit, issued a message to the Arch Enemy fans thanking them for their support after replacing Alissa.

Hart wrote on Instagram: “Every time I’ve gotten to meet one of you at the shows and I hear, ‘Welcome to the AE family,’ it truly warms my heart. I appreciate each and every one of you. Thank you for always making me feel so at home.” She continued, “And for those who have been with me a long time, thank you for always making me feel so supported! Your kind words/comments haven’t gone unnoticed.”

The post marks Hart’s first extended public comment since taking over the microphone, and it lands at a moment when the band’s lineup change is still fresh for longtime followers. The transition has been one of the most discussed topics in the metal world this year, and the response from fans at live shows has shaped how the new era is being received.

The change dates back to late 2025. Arch Enemy announced in November that it had parted ways with White-Gluz, closing a tenure that lasted nearly 12 years. The band confirmed the split with a short statement: “Arch Enemy have parted ways with singer Alissa White-Gluz. We’re thankful for the time and music we’ve shared and wish her all the best. Wherever there is an ending, there is also a beginning. See you in 2026.”

White-Gluz’s run with the Swedish melodic death metal veterans began in 2014, and she recorded four albums with the group, from “War Eternal” through last year’s “Blood Dynasty,” before playing her final show with the band in Düsseldorf on November 15, 2025. She has since moved on to new projects, including fronting the band Blue Medusa, which played its first-ever live show in Berlin.

Hart arrived with a résumé of her own. The vocalist, formerly of the US metal bands Once Human and Divine Heresy, joined Arch Enemy in February, replacing White-Gluz. Her recorded debut with the group came on “To The Last Breath,” released that same month. Her first onstage appearance as Arch Enemy’s singer followed in March, when the band played shows in China.

Reaction from inside the band has been positive. Speaking about Hart’s first six months, drummer Daniel Erlandsson said the fanbase adjusted almost immediately, telling The MetalList that “from the first show, the fans really embraced her.” Guitarist Michael Amott also addressed speculation surrounding the position, dismissing talk of a return by former frontwoman Angela Gossow. Amott said the idea was fan speculation rather than a real possibility: “I understand that’s the mindset of the fans… but no, that was actually not an option.”

With Hart now settled behind the microphone and the new lineup continuing to tour through 2026, her Instagram message reflects a frontwoman who is treating the fanbase as part of the transition rather than a hurdle to clear. For Arch Enemy, the “AE family” she thanked appears to have welcomed her well before she asked.
