The Music Universe reported that Gene Simmons has canceled five upcoming performances of his solo band tour. The canceled shows were set to take place in Anaheim, Auburn, Magna, Miami Beach, and Houston during April and May 2025.

“Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event,” Ticketmaster stated in their message to ticket holders. “You don’t need to do a thing. We’ll issue a refund to the original method of payment used at time of purchase, as soon as funds are received from the Event Organizer. It should appear on your account within 14-21 days.”

Ticketmaster is processing refunds automatically for all affected shows. No official reason has been provided for the cancellations. Fans are guessing that low ticket sales caused it.

Simmons has been actively reshaping his post-KISS career through various solo ventures during this period of cancellations.

Ultimate Classic Rock revealed the tour’s initial scope of 25 dates across the United States and Canada. The lineup featured an impressive roster of rock veterans.

The touring band includes established musicians Brent Woods and Brian Tichy. This lineup represents a significant shift from Simmons’ previous touring configurations.

WBKR highlighted the distinct differences between these solo performances and Simmons’ work with KISS. The new shows emphasize musical authenticity over theatrical elements.

The touring operation now follows a more streamlined financial model. This change indicates a strategic shift in the veteran performer’s business approach.

Future Projects

Simmons continues to evolve his career following KISS’s 2023 farewell tour. These show cancellations mark another transition in his journey.

The KISS legacy will take on a new form through a digital avatar experience in 2027. This innovative project demonstrates the band’s commitment to evolution beyond traditional live performances.
