Sepultura guitarist Andreas Kisser revealed the band’s farewell tour conclusion plans in an interview with Metal Hammer. The Brazilian thrash metal pioneers will extend their final run through 2026. They plan to host a grand finale in their home country.
“We are planning to do a very big show in São Paulo, Brazil, or in Belo Horizonte,” Kisser said. “We’re still balancing these ideas.”
“But at the end of 2026, we’d like to do this last show,” he continued. “We’d like to stretch [out the tour]. There’s no reason for us to stop in a hurry just because we announced [the] last [tour] two years ago or so.”
The band’s 2024 schedule features appearances at Lollapalooza festivals across South America. Several European festival dates are also confirmed.
