Sharon and Jack Osbourne have aggressively defended their newly announced interactive Ozzy Osbourne AI avatar project against intense criticism. They explained that the venture utilizes a secure, closed-loop database to preserve the late metal icon’s authentic likeness and ensure he is never forgotten by future generations.

In a passionate response to detractors, Sharon Osbourne dismissed claims that the project represents a financial exploitation of her late husband’s legacy. “Why go on a jet when there’s a propeller? What are you doing? Well, you know what? Technology moves on, and I’m sorry for those people. I’m not asking you to come. I don’t want your f*cking money. I don’t need your f*cking money. I’m doing very well, actually, and I always have my entire life,” she stated.

Sharon further emphasized that the family has been exploring this technology for a decade. She refused to allow anyone to “bastardize” her husband’s memory. “I don’t have to justify why we do to any f*cker. I don’t have to justify. What do they think we’re gonna do? I’m gonna hock my husband around selling Weed Killer on an ad or selling cigarettes or beer? Do you think I’m gonna do that?” she asked rhetorically. She compared the technological advancement to the natural evolution from vinyl records to CDs.

Jack Osbourne echoed his mother’s sentiments and clarified the technical specifications of the project to address misconceptions. “What we’re doing — this isn’t, and I’ve said it, this isn’t ChatGPT with dad’s face on it. It’s a closed A.I., so it’s not connected to the Internet. We build a database, and I cannot emphasize enough is that this is only information that either my dad said or was accurate, or was written accurately about him,” he explained.

The family’s commitment to authenticity and preservation reflects a broader vision for keeping Ozzy’s legacy alive. Jack acknowledged that while some may view the project as a commercial venture, the primary motivation is ensuring that fans can continue to connect with the metal legend. “And at the end of the day, if keeping Dad alive and accessible to a fan is cash grab, then f*cking guilty as charged because at the end of the day, entertainment and the industry that we’re in, none of this is for f*cking charity… But the technology that we are utilizing, it is not Claude or ChatGPT that you can ask it any question about anything. It’s a closed A.I. module that is not connected to the Internet,” he stated.

The Osbourne family’s defense underscores their determination to move forward with the project despite public skepticism. They aim to position the avatar as a respectful tribute rather than a commercial exploitation by emphasizing the closed-loop nature of the AI system and the decade-long development process.

Blabbermouth reported that Jack Osbourne has framed the Ozzy Osbourne AI avatar as a legacy project centered on remembrance and preservation. The family sees the interactive technology as a means to ensure that Ozzy is “never forgotten” by future generations of fans. They position the venture as a continuation of his cultural impact rather than merely a novelty or commercial gimmick.

This perspective reflects a deeper commitment to maintaining Ozzy’s presence in popular culture long after his passing. The Osbourne family’s approach to the AI avatar project demonstrates their belief that technology can serve as a bridge between the legendary musician and his devoted fanbase. It allows new audiences to experience and learn from his life and career in ways that traditional media cannot replicate.
