Ted Nugent has recently criticized Hollywood for accepting every religion except Christianity.
He responded to Joe Rogan’s comments on the issue. In a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan explained, “There’s resistance first of all from secular Hollywood where for whatever reason, Christianity is the one religion that you’re allowed to disparage. Christianity is the one religion where all these progressive, open-minded leftist people, they’ll embrace all these different religions until it comes to Christianity. For whatever reason that represents, colonialism, whatever it represents, it’s negative.”
Sharing the video on Instagram, Nugent wrote, “Hollywood hates Christianity because it stands for truth, and everything they fear and can’t control.”
Nugent also shared his personal experiences with faith. “I believe in God, I’m a Christian… I could give you many, many examples, I should not have survived certain occurrences, and God saved my life and pulled me through,” he said in an interview with Katy Christian Mag. “Many, many dangerous situations. He has a plan for me, He woke me up, and He continues to wake me up.”
“When I saw the hippies and the beatniks intentionally poisoning their lives to pursue a comfortable numbness, and ‘comfortably numb’ is actually ‘uncomfortably dumb,’ I mean, it’s just irresponsible, and it’s rude, it’s disrespectful, it’s condescending, it’s selfish,” he added.
In 2021, Nugent became a minister with the New Independent Fundamentalist Baptist Church. The church holds controversial beliefs, such as supporting the execution of homosexuals, following the King James Bible strictly, and believing that Christians, not Jews, are God’s chosen people.
