Shemane Nugent, wife of rock legend Ted Nugent, is back in the spotlight after sharing her take on what she calls “mysterious trails in the sky.” In a recent Instagram video, Shemane claimed they disappeared since Donald Trump returned as the President.
“Hey, you wanna see something really cool? It’s actually what you don’t see,” she said in the video. “Have you noticed how our skies have cleared up recently? We used to see those crisscrosses in the sky. Chemtrails! But for years, we were called conspiracy theorists. Now, since President Trump is back in office, you don’t see them anymore. I’d love to hear your thoughts. What do you think they are? And why do you think we’re not seeing them anymore?”
Her comments quickly drew attention, with supporters echoing her beliefs and critics calling her out for promoting misinformation. Chemtrails, long dismissed by scientists as contrails—condensed water vapor from aircraft engines—remain a divisive topic.
Shemane Has A History With Conspiracy Theories

This isn’t the first time Shemane Nugent has voiced controversial views. Earlier this year, she questioned the cause of the Los Angeles wildfires and criticized the perceived lack of effective water usage to combat the flames.
Shemane has frequently faced backlash for promoting conspiracy theories on social media. These posts have led to multiple bans across different platforms. In September 2024, TikTok suspended her account again. When addressing the ban on Instagram, Shemane suggested it was due to her outspoken views but didn’t specify the exact reason.
“Banned again on TT,” she wrote. “So many of us are being censored. This world is upside down. What is now labeled misinformation could actually help educate others so they can make their own decisions about their health, faith, and freedom. What was once wrong is now right. Where do you go? How can we communicate if we don’t have the First Amendment? This is exactly why I started my community Red, White & Pray.”
In 2021, Shemane’s X account was suspended after she joked about Donald Trump’s return to the presidency. It took two years for the account to be reinstated, with Ted Nugent publicly calling on Elon Musk to intervene, arguing his wife was being unfairly silenced.
