Tom Morello revealed new details about Ozzy Osbourne’s final show in an interview with The Independent. The event will celebrate heavy metal with Black Sabbath and numerous special guests.
“The North Star from the first conversation was to make this the greatest day in the history of heavy metal. Black Sabbath invented the genre… it’s a tribute to them but unlike other tributes, Black Sabbath’s going to play at the end of the night, and so it’s a chance for artists of all ages and branches of the heavy metal tree to pay respects by playing some of our own music that owes a debt to Black Sabbath, and then also have 14 to 16 of the greatest Black Sabbath cover bands that ever graced the stage,” Morello explained.
“Some of the biggest artists who are performing have not been announced. There’ll be some surprises during the day. Get there early,” he added, heightening anticipation for the historic event.
Fans are eagerly awaiting more details about this milestone event in heavy metal history.
Performance Details

Reports from Blabbermouth indicated that Ozzy Osbourne will perform only ‘little bits and pieces’ with Black Sabbath. This performance marks their first reunion in 20 years.
The carefully planned arrangement takes into account Osbourne’s current health situation. Fans will still witness this historic reunion despite the modified format.
Charitable Impact

The organizers have titled the event ‘Back to the Beginning.’ Documentation from Ozzy.com confirmed that show proceeds will benefit multiple organizations including Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice.
The charitable focus reflects the band’s dedication to supporting their community.
Birmingham Connection

Birmingham holds special significance as both Black Sabbath’s birthplace and the cradle of heavy metal. The venue choice honors the city where the band’s legendary journey began.
This farewell performance transcends a typical concert. It stands as a celebration of Black Sabbath’s enduring legacy and their deep Birmingham roots.
