Motionless in White lead singer Chris Motionless has confirmed a one-week delay for the band’s upcoming promotional single following fan inquiries on social media. A fan expressed anticipation for new music this week on X (formerly Twitter). Chris Motionless responded directly, stating: “Pushed till next week. There are still some elements of the launch unfinished, but will be worth the extra time.”

The delay reflects the band’s commitment to delivering a polished release ahead of their highly anticipated album launch. The band has opted to take additional time to ensure all critical elements are properly executed rather than rushing the promotional campaign.

Motionless in White’s new album Decades is scheduled for release on July 17, 2026. The LASER reported that this marks the band’s seventh studio album. The release will be handled through Roadrunner Records, one of the most prominent metal labels in the industry. This upcoming album represents a significant milestone for the Scranton, Pennsylvania-based band, which has built a dedicated fanbase over their career.

The promotional single delay pushes back the initial launch timeline by one week. This still allows ample time for the band to build momentum before the full album arrives in mid-July. Metal Insider indicated that the band has been carefully orchestrating their promotional strategy to maximize impact for the album’s release.

The band’s decision to delay the single rather than compromise on quality demonstrates their dedication to their fanbase. Official announcements highlighted the band’s meticulous approach to the album campaign. The band is ensuring that every element of the launch meets their standards. This attention to detail has become characteristic of Motionless in White’s approach to major releases.

Fans of the platinum-selling band can expect the delayed promotional single to arrive within the coming week. The full Decades album release will follow on July 17, 2026. The extended timeline provides the band with the opportunity to deliver a comprehensive promotional campaign that will properly introduce the new material to their audience.
