Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider recently warned that he is running out of patience over his ongoing feud with Kelly Osbourne, addressing the situation in a post shared on X.
The feud began after Snider made comments about the late Ozzy Osbourne’s songwriting credits. Kelly Osbourne responded harshly, prompting Snider to issue a public apology.
“So I take the high road, make the effort to be a bigger man and the press brands me as caving and classless? Let me know when the statute of limitations is over and then I’ll really throw down!” Snider wrote.
Snider’s latest statement follows his earlier attempt to settle the dispute directly with Kelly Osbourne. “Kelly Osbourne, I’m sorry what I said hurt you. It was never my intent. My sympathies on the loss of your dad,” he previously wrote.
The disagreement centers on the extent of Ozzy Osbourne’s contributions to the lyrics of songs from his Black Sabbath and solo careers.
The dispute intensified after a social media user referenced bassist Bob Daisley’s claims about writing many of the lyrics on Ozzy’s early solo albums. Snider responded, “‘A load?’ How about ALL the lyrics?” before arguing that Ozzy had often relied on bass players to write his lyrics.
Snider also pointed to several musicians who contributed to Ozzy’s catalog. He cited Geezer Butler’s contributions to Black Sabbath, Bob Daisley’s work on Ozzy’s first two solo albums, and Lemmy Kilmister’s songwriting contributions.
Kelly Osbourne criticized Snider’s remarks and called him “spectacularly classless,” accusing him of diminishing her father’s creative legacy. She defended Ozzy as a musician, songwriter, singer, and bandleader.
Snider later maintained that his comments were not intended as a personal attack. He expressed “nothing but love” for Ozzy and framed the discussion as an issue involving songwriting credits and royalties. Despite apologizing, Snider now says he remains frustrated by the media’s portrayal of his attempt to take the high road.
