Kevin Cronin has addressed questions about new music in a recent Facebook interaction. The former REO Speedwagon frontman continues his musical journey with his own band following REO Speedwagon’s retirement announcement.
A fan asked: “Can we expect an album of new music from The Kevin Cronin Band anytime in the near future?”
“Dave, Bryan, Derek, Matt, and I are set to go into Blue Moon Studio, with producer/engineer Joe Vannelli week after next, to record a cool new song Richard Marx and I wrote,” Cronin responded. “Hopefully that leads to more recording.”
This announcement marks a significant milestone in Cronin’s career. He continues to expand his musical horizons beyond REO Speedwagon.
Summer Tour Plans

Loudwire reports that Cronin will join the ‘Brotherhood of Rock’ tour in summer 2025. He will share the stage with Styx and Don Felder.
The Kevin Cronin Band will deliver a special performance during the tour. Ultimate Classic Rock reveals they plan to perform REO Speedwagon’s legendary album ‘Hi Infidelity’ in its entirety.
