Kid Rock announced a new tour along with a plan to change how concert tickets are sold.
The rocker shared the news on Twitter today with a video explaining his ideas for ticket pricing. The video came with a caption saying, “Surprise! I decided to let the cat out of the bag early. Sign up for ticket pre-sale starting tomorrow, on my birthday, Friday Jan. 17th at 10am EST.”
In the video, Kid Rock talked about making ticket prices more fair for fans. He said he wants to use ‘all-in pricing,’ which means the price you see advertised is the price you pay at checkout, without hidden fees. “The best thing that me and some likeminded folks have come up with was- First, we need to pass some serious regulations. We need to have all-in pricing to start. That means, when you see a ticked advertised, when you gotta check out to buy that ticket, that’s the price you pay. Not all this horse sh— and .. charges and bullsh— that’s tucked on.”
He also suggested that reselling tickets should have a limit of no more than a 50% markup to stop price gouging. “Everyone knows you’re gonna buy a ticket for a hundred bucks,” he said. “And all of a sudden, it’s 160 or 170 dollars at the checkout. That’s bullsh—. I mean, if you want to have an option to buy parking, or food package, or something, that’s reasonable. Now, the big one is that we need to limit the all-in pricing of reselling a ticket to 50%. Period.”
Rock also said he’s willing to make less money to make this system work, saying there’s still enough profit in the business even with these changes. “Hopefully that allows us as artists to get tickets in the hands of the fans at the prices we set,” he explained. “If that means I have to take a pay cut, fine. I’ll go ahead and do it. There’s sh— tons of money in this business even though it costs a lot to put on these shows. It’s plenty of money to be made for everyone.”

Avenged Sevenfold’s M. Shadows reacted to the announcement by sharing Kid Rock’s video on Twitter. He said that his band has been using a similar system through their ‘Proven Fans’ program. “This already exists,” he wrote. “We have been doing it for 2 years. Proven fans get their tickets at the prices we set with no mark up or bots. Check the latest Soldier Field show for proof. If any artists want info setting this up I would be happy to help.”
This program ensures fans get tickets at the original prices without bots or unfair markups.
Shadows added that ticketing systems should give fans options and warned that early access codes and email lists can still be manipulated by scalpers. “On the subject of ticketing I believe fans just want options. When you resort to email lists and early access codes you will fall victim to the same bad actors gaming the system. You must have a barrier to entry.”
This announcement comes alongside a countdown on Kid Rock’s website for a separate big reveal also planned for today. Rock hinted that this announcement is something worth celebrating. He promoted the event by sharing links to his songs, ‘We The People’ and ‘Don’t Tell Me How To Live,’ on social media.
Kid Rock will perform with Carrie Underwood and join Trump’s ‘Victory Rally’ this Sunday at the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC. In addition to the new ticketing system and upcoming shows, Kid Rock will headline the 2025 Rock The Country Festival with Nickelback. The tour will kick off on April 4 in Livingston, Louisiana, and wrap up on July 26 in Anderson, South Carolina. He is also set to perform at the Rock The South Festival in Alabama from June 19 to 21.
