Avenged Sevenfold’s M. Shadows responded playfully to the recent fan criticism of his band’s LGBT advocacy on his social media accounts.

The band just released a song titled ‘We Love You Moar,’ featuring Nadya Tolokonnikova from Pussy Riot. They’ve also teamed up to create a special limited-edition balaclava with both bands’ logos. Avenged Sevenfold wrote in their Instagram statement:

“In the spirit of ‘We Love You Moar,’ we collaborated with Nadya and Pussy Riot to create a custom balaclava with proceeds benefiting SOS North Caucasus. Limited to 300 – with each purchase, you’ll be helping LGBTQ people facing mortal danger and persecution in North Caucasus, Russia. Link in bio.”

However, some fans reacted negatively to the announcement in the comments sections and voiced dissatisfaction with the band’s support. One of them wrote:

“Nope… Sorry, Sevenfold.. I love your music, but LGBT, a big nope.”

Another comment said:

“Did the demonic Hollywood cult pull you guys in? Why the upside-down cross? It isn’t even funny. What next, going to dress up like Satan like Sam Smith? This is immensely disappointing. And the LGBT does not need help; they’re a kid grooming cult. Who has most of the music industry bowing down? This is so sad. I wish you guys the best, and I’ll pray for you. God Bless.”

Following those, M. Shadows took to X this time and interacted with the fans about the topic. When a user asked if he was there regarding the Instagram comments sections, the singer wrote:

“Lots of upset ‘Christians’ for helping oppressed people… but ‘God Hates Us’ is ok…. But those damn gays… nah, f*ck that! We must be in a simulation.”

Another user said to the musician:

“Gays and trans are the highest group that becomes pedos. Be careful not to get bud-lighted. The silent majority in the United States is huge.”

He wrote in his response:

“Glad to be ‘bud-lighted.’ Bunch of snowflakes calling others snowflakes… the irony is thick.”

‘We Love You Moar’ is a new version of the band’s ‘We Love You’ from their eighth studio album, ‘Life Is But a Dream…’ It differs slightly from the original, with unique vocal parts from Tolokonnikova.

Below, you can see their Instagram post, the comments on X, and listen to the song.
