“The fact that I’m not too happy that Krokus doesn’t want to do a new album, sit together and write new songs,” the singer revealed. “For me, this creative thing is very important for my soul.”

He continued, “My heart and soul go into the songs that we write. And then, it goes into the songs when we perform them. So, it’s the birth of what we create and that’s kind of stopped. We’re feeding off old material, which is great.”

“I love singing Krokus songs and [I’m a] sentimental guy anyway and nostalgic. All that stuff and as I said, we’ve become more like a team again. So, never say never sure but at the same time, that’s the situation how it is. So I enjoy doing the gigs with Krokus but I enjoy the creative,” Storace explained about the current situation of the band.

Krokus had announced their retirement in 2018 and planned a farewell tour, but it was delayed due to COVID-19. They resumed touring in 2024, preparing for their 50th anniversary. In September 2024, Storace was asked by The Metal Voice if the band was truly done.

The vocalist responded, “No, no, no, no. Krokus is reborn. We all feel fresh again. We’ve had a really nice run and the feeling in the band is really harmonious. And I don’t sense any bad vibes for doing my solo stuff because they know I did it because I was in a lockdown situation and that’s how it started and the ball kept on rolling. So, it’s something I’m doing not because I wanna leave Krokus.”

Krokus will perform at the Monsters of Rock Cruise from March 5-10, 2025, and also at the Time to Rock Festival in July.
