Korn guitarist Brian Welch shared his perspectives on spirituality and faith in a recent Instagram post. He emphasized the importance of pursuing a direct spiritual connection instead of focusing on religious institutions.

“Go straight to God yourself, He’s got living water that hits harder than any high,” Welch said. “Forget the religious stuff, just go right to the source.”

“Why I love the scriptures is that,” he continued. “I know there’s a lot of hypocrites out there that misuse the scriptures and judge and say all these crazy stuff just to control people.”

“But if you get past that and move them out of the way and go straight to Jesus yourself, He will give you this living water and you will experience it yourself. Don’t worry about this religious. Don’t worry about the idiots. Don’t worry about hypocrites out there,” he concluded.

Welch’s recent statement reflects his spiritual transformation since leaving Korn in 2005.
