Legendary rock band Guns N’ Roses has officially announced a significant change in their lineup through their official X (formerly Twitter) account. The band has introduced their first drummer change since 2006. This transition marks a new era for the iconic group.

“Welcoming Isaac Carpenter as the new drummer of Guns N’ Roses,” the band stated in their official announcement.

Frank Ferrer, who had been with the band since 2006, has departed. The addition of Carpenter brings a wealth of experience to the iconic rock group. This milestone holds significance for both the band and the accomplished drummer.

Loudwire revealed Carpenter’s early musical roots in Washington’s Tri-Cities. He co-founded the band Loudermilk in 1995 during his high school years.

His career features notable collaborations with prominent artists. He has worked with current Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan in his project Loaded. Carpenter has also contributed his talents to bands like Awolnation, Adam Lambert, and A Perfect Circle.

Ultimate Classic Rock highlighted Carpenter’s upcoming touring debut. He will join the band for their ‘Because What You Want & What You Get Are Two Completely Different Things’ tour.

The tour begins on May 1, 2025, in South Korea. It will conclude on July 31 in Germany. The schedule includes headline performances at major stadiums and festivals across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

AXS TV documented Frank Ferrer’s final performance with the band on November 5, 2023. This marked the end of his tenure as the band’s longest-serving drummer.

Ferrer’s contributions to the band remain significant. He played on the ‘Chinese Democracy’ album and performed during the reunion tours. These tours brought original members Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan back together.
