In a recent interview with SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk, Poison drummer Rikki Rockett addressed concerns about the band’s 40th anniversary tour. During the conversation, Trunk mentioned that Bret Michaels had sent him a message about the tour and asked for Rockett’s thoughts.
“Yeah, absolutely. 2026 is for sure gonna happen unless some unforeseen thing happens but all band members said ‘Yeah we’re definitely doing it without a doubt,'” Rockett confirmed
His comments came after he had previously said the anniversary tour was not yet confirmed. “It’s not figured out. We have agreed to do a minimum of 40 dates and maybe more,” he explained. “So whatever it works out to be, but it’s for sure gonna be that many, at least. And I don’t know.”
He added, “I mean, if there’s somebody that we can package with that makes sense, great. If there isn’t, then we’ll headline. Whatever makes sense. I don’t know who’s going out yet that year, in ’26, but if it makes sense to package with somebody, we’ll do it.”
Earlier in September, Michaels shared on social media that he plans to perform only a few shows in 2025 to focus on his health, adding that he has diabetes and needs rest. He also said 2026 would be a great time for the Poison 40th anniversary tour.
Michaels’ statement came two days after Rockett posted on social media, saying Bret didn’t want to tour with Poison in 2025. On September 10, Rockett explained on Facebook that people kept asking why Poison wasn’t touring in 2025. He responded by saying Michaels didn’t want to tour.
Rockett later clarified on Facebook that he never said Bret was canceling the 2025 tour, only that it wasn’t scheduled yet. He wanted to clear up any confusion and avoid the blame being placed on him or the other band members.
