Queen guitarist Brian May discussed new music possibilities in a recent interview with Mojo. The veteran musician confirmed that he and drummer Roger Taylor are actively working in their respective studios.

“I think it could happen. Both Roger and I are constantly writing and coming up with ideas and doing things in our studios,” May said. “I could have the beginnings of a Queen song right there in front of me now. It’s just whether the idea reaches maturity or not. It’s whether that seed can grow.”

This development represents a significant moment in Queen’s recent history. The band has maintained a strong presence in the music industry without releasing new material for nearly three decades.

American Songwriter highlighted that Queen’s final studio album, ‘Made in Heaven,’ appeared in 1995. The release featured Freddie Mercury’s last recordings before his passing in 1991.

Mercury’s contributions continue to shape the band’s creative direction. The group carefully preserves and presents his work when meaningful opportunities arise.

Metal Wani reported the band’s 2022 release of ‘Face It Alone,’ a previously unreleased track featuring Mercury’s vocals. This release demonstrated the band’s dedication to their musical heritage while exploring new creative paths.

The track received strong support from fans. This reception proved that Queen’s music continues to resonate with both longtime followers and new audiences.

The partnership with Lambert has created new creative opportunities. Discussions about recording new music together have occurred, though no official releases have been announced.
