Born to Tony Iommi and his second wife, Melinda Diaz, in 1983, Toni-Marie Iommi followed in his father’s footsteps to have a career in music. As a part-British and part-Native American musician, she worked in a few bands and also came up with some solo material throughout her years in the industry, but there’s still a lot we don’t know about her. Here’s a look at what we’ve gathered so far.

Her Music Style Is Different From Her Father’s

Toni-Marie first appeared on the music scene with her involvement in the band Lunarmile and then as the lead singer for Halo. She hasn’t just stuck with band performances but also released her own music. One of her solo works came out in 2017 as ‘Feeling High.’ As a collaboration with Jere Karalahti, the single had a pop-leaning sound, departing from the heavy metal style Tony Iommi is famous for.

Her Father ‘Saved Her’ From Foster Care

When her parents got a divorce shortly after her birth, the singer started to live with her mother in the early years. But, at age twelve, she moved in with her father, as he took her custody following her placement in foster care for a brief period. Toni-Marie spoke about this time of her life in a few interviews, saying that Iommi saved her from an unstable life with Melinda Diaz.

She Was Once Engaged To The HIM Guitarist

In 2010, news reported that Toni-Marie got engaged to the HIM guitarist Mikko ‘Linde’ Lindström, who was 34 and had one daughter from his previous marriage at the time. The couple reportedly started living together in Finland but eventually parted ways. Their breakup made the headlines in Finland’s magazines in 2013.

She Feels Happy To Have Iommi As Her Father

In an interview with His Infernal Magazine, Toni-Marie shared her thoughts about living with her father by explaining that the Black Sabbath guitarist taught her a lot about ‘life and music.’ The singer said she felt lucky to have Iommi as her father and described him as ‘amazing,’ ‘loving and warm,’ although she also mentioned that his pranks were sometimes ‘annoying.’
