According to Loudwire, the family’s official statement confirmed the cause as an ‘accidental overdose.’

Detailed reports revealed Pavone’s final hours. The day began normally at his residence, buıt it took a turn when his girlfriend discovered him unconscious after an extended absence in the bathroom. Police reports obtained by TMZ documented a syringe on the bathroom sink counter.

Pavone’s girlfriend immediately contacted emergency services. She followed the 911 operator’s CPR instructions while waiting for help. EMTs arrived and found a pulse. They administered Narcan, a medication used to counter opioid overdose effects. Pavone was rushed to the hospital. He went into cardiac arrest, and medical professionals ultimately couldn’t save his life.

Pavone’s family and friends established the Kyle Pavone Foundation, as reported by Loudwire. The organization advocates for the musician community. It focuses on mental health and substance abuse counseling.

The ‘Promise Me Tribute Show’ at The Fillmore in Detroit helped the foundation’s mission. Artists from bands like Issues, August Burns Red, and I Prevail came together for this event.

Loudwire reports that We Came As Romans made a big decision: they continued as a five-piece band rather than replace Pavone. Co-vocalist Dave Stephens and other members assumed additional vocal responsibilities.

The band later honored his memory through their music. They released ‘From The First Note,’ which featured Pavone’s recorded vocals.

According to Kerrang, Pavone’s impact on the metalcore scene went beyond We Came As Romans. ‘LA Never Says Goodbye’ was his final collaboration with electronic artist Kayzo. The track was released posthumously.
