Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose recently addressed concerns about his health during a recent show, sharing an update on X.
The singer’s message came after fans noticed he seemed unwell during the performance at the end of the band’s North American tour. Rose confirmed he was indeed feeling sick and had to vomit immediately after leaving the stage.
“It’s been a great tour so far n’ can’t wait for the next leg!!!” Rose said. “Tossed my cookies as soon as I got backstage. Even I wasn’t sure if I was faking it or not.”
The band is expected to continue their tour dates as scheduled. The update arrives near the end of a long run of stadium shows, and it follows signs that Rose’s health had already been affecting the band’s performances before he spoke publicly.
The Sept. 19 show at Truist Park in Atlanta was shortened because Rose was feeling “under the weather,” indicating that the illness was already affecting the tour before his post-show comments. The same setlist archive lists the band’s tour stops from late August through mid-September 2026, including San Diego’s Snapdragon Stadium on Sept. 2 and Pasadena’s Rose Bowl on Sept. 5.
The 2026 world tour moved through Edmonton’s Commonwealth Stadium on Aug. 26 and Vancouver’s BC Place on Aug. 29 before heading into the United States. Additional setlist records show the run continuing through Arlington’s Globe Life Field on Sept. 9, Ridgedale’s Thunder Ridge Nature Arena on Sept. 12 and San Antonio’s Alamodome on Sept. 16.
The illness is not the first health issue to disrupt a Rose performance. Rose has a long history of vocal strain affecting live shows, with one of the most widely noted examples coming during a co-headlining tour with Metallica in Montreal, when he left the stage mid-set because of severe vocal cord problems.
“Vocal cords were shot,” Rose told the crowd at the time, explaining why he could not continue singing.
Fans who attended the recent shows have echoed similar concerns, noting that his voice has been paying the price of the band’s demanding, three-hour sets at age 64. Despite the setback, Rose’s message made clear he intends to keep going, with the next leg of the tour already on his mind.
