Testament’s Alex Skolnick has voiced his frustration with Elon Musk’s actions regarding the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and recent aviation incidents. Skolnick argued that Musk’s influence on the FAA, including pushing out top officials, has contributed to a rise in plane crashes.
“I’m glad to see his voters say ‘No’ to him,” he wrote on X. “I just wish they’d do so re: Elon take a wrecking ball to the FAA (more crashes in one month than the past several years) & other agencies as well as pilfering our personal data without our permission.”
When another user mentioned the Washington D.C. plane crash, Skolnick responded, “C’mon Bill. The freakin’ HEAD of the FAA was let go and many underneath that affect air traffic control. Of course nothing I say will sway you, so maybe Fox News can open your eyes.”
Wow. The pushback in the comments. I’m glad to see his voters say “No” to him. Recent Crashes and Safety Concerns

Following a deadly crash near Washington, D.C. involving an American Airlines plane and an Army Black Hawk helicopter, Skolnick directly tied the rising incidents to changes within the FAA. He criticized Musk’s actions and their role in deteriorating aviation safety.
“So, let me get this straight,” he wrote, “16 years without a major plane crash. Trump takes office, Elon forces out head of the FAA, threatens to gut air traffic control and other government positions. Now, planes are crashing. And they’re blaming BIDEN? OBAMA? DEI?? YOU F*CKING IDIOTS.”
The crash involved an American Airlines plane with 60 passengers and four crew members, as well as an Army Black Hawk helicopter carrying three soldiers. Authorities recovered 41 victims’ remains, and both aircraft’s black boxes were found. The plane had been arriving from Wichita, and among the victims were top U.S. and Russian figure skaters. The helicopter was on a training mission from Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
