Sepultura guitarist Andreas Kisser recently discussed his future plans following the band’s ongoing farewell tour in an interview with Metal OBS. The musician emphasized his desire to venture into unexplored creative territories rather than replicate his past work.
“I’m not gonna stop, of course, doing music. I have so many ideas, but I didn’t decide yet where to go,” Kisser said. “I still wanna enjoy the moment, enjoy the tour, and enjoy the very last run that we have this year. But I have many possibilities.”
Kisser revealed his interest in blending music with visual arts. “Maybe I will do another album myself or try something different,” he stated. “I wanna explore different worlds. I’m going more to the art world, like painting and mixing music with colors and stuff.”
The guitarist stressed that he aims to avoid recreating the Sepultura experience in his solo endeavors. “I don’t wanna find another world that is the same as Sepultura. I already did all that during Sepultura,” he explained. “So I’d like to absorb more ideas and to be aware of new possibilities and see what happens. But now I’m very focused on what we’re doing today and the last few months of the tour.”
As Kisser focuses on the present, Sepultura’s farewell tour continues to mark a historic moment for the Brazilian metal pioneers. The band’s “Celebrating Life Through Death” tour spans multiple continents. The final shows are scheduled across North America and Europe through the summer of 2026.
Sepultura’s final North American tour leg features headline shows and festival appearances running from April through May 2026, according to Rock and Roll Garage. The tour includes stops at notable venues such as The Wellmont Theater in Montclair, New Jersey on April 29.
