Sammy Hagar has announced a new round of shows with his Best of All Worlds Band, while also addressing recent lineup changes in a statement shared on Instagram.
The veteran rocker confirmed upcoming tour dates and responded directly to fan questions regarding shifts within the band’s lineup. “We finally squeezed some time for the Best of All Worlds Band out of everyone’s schedules,” Hagar said. “Can’t wait to put the set list together for this one whew!”
One fan specifically questioned the absence of keyboardist Rai Thistlethwayte, prompting Hagar to clarify the situation. “He joined Toto, so we swapped keyboard players,” Hagar responded.
Hagar’s comment confirms that Thistlethwayte exited the lineup due to his commitment to joining Toto, making a keyboardist change necessary for the band’s upcoming performances.
This marks the second personnel change Hagar has made to his touring band. He previously replaced drummer Jason Bonham with Kenny Aronoff, a decision that drew some criticism from fans. The latest adjustment comes as Hagar prepares for an extensive run of live dates stretching well into 2026. Loudwire reported that Hagar will also join forces with Rick Springfield for a six-date tour this summer, beginning June 13 in St. Louis.
The Best of All Worlds Band will feature a lineup of seasoned musicians for the upcoming tour. According to JamBase, the group includes Van Halen founding bassist Michael Anthony, guitarist Joe Satriani, drummer Kenny Aronoff, and keyboardist Greg Phillinganes, who steps in following Thistlethwayte’s departure.
In addition to the summer tour, Hagar has scheduled an extended Las Vegas residency. 96X FM noted that he will bring his “The Best of All Worlds” show back to Vegas for 11 performances in March, with dates set for the 11th, 13th, 14th, 18th, 20th, and 21st.
The tour will span material from across Hagar’s career, blending Van Halen classics with solo work. Live Nation announced that longtime collaborators will once again join Hagar on stage, continuing a live dynamic that has developed over years of touring.
While the keyboard change represents a notable shift for the band, Phillinganes brings decades of experience to the role, ensuring the Best of All Worlds Band maintains its musical depth as Hagar moves forward with his ambitious touring plans.
