Black Veil Brides frontman Andy Biersack recently discussed the inspiration behind the band’s new song ‘Vindicate’ in a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter). The track marks a personal milestone for the musician, drawing from decades of facing skepticism within the music scene.

“Our new song ‘Vindicate’ comes out tomorrow, I view this song as a means of conveying the themes of the album right at the top,” Biersack said. “Each song on the record represents a different way we fight with the feelings of revenge and getting even, sometimes with others, sometimes with ourselves, our past, something someone else did to us etc.”

Biersack revealed that the song was lyrically inspired by challenges he has faced since his teenage years. “This song above all else was lyrically inspired by the chip I’ve had on my shoulder since I was 16 years old and started this band,” he explained. “I was immediately torn down and sneered at by my peers within the ‘scene’ and those around me. To this day, this band and our fans have always had to fight through that to one degree or another.”

The frontman emphasized the song’s broader message about resilience and self-belief. “Beyond that though I find that it’s representative of every one of us who have to deal with someone attempting to destroy our ambitions simply because they do not possess the skills or wherewithal to make their own dreams come true,” he continued. “All of us are born with a fire and a belief in ourselves. Often times, though, the world around us will try to stamp it out. This is a song about never letting them drag you down.”

Biersack concluded with gratitude toward the band’s fanbase. “If you are a fan of what we do, you have given me more than you could ever imagine and I thank you ardently and sincerely for allowing me the opportunity to do this for all of these years. I hope you enjoy Vindicate!”

The release of ‘Vindicate’ marks an exciting moment for Black Veil Brides as they prepare to unveil a full-length project centered around the song’s themes. Fans can expect significant developments from the band as they roll out this powerful new single.

Black Veil Brides debuted ‘Vindicate’ as a world premiere on SiriusXM’s Octane channel on March 17, 2026, according to SiriusXM. The strategic release on the satellite radio platform gave fans an exclusive first listen to the track before its wider availability. This approach allowed the band to build anticipation among their dedicated fanbase while leveraging SiriusXM’s reach within the rock and metal community.
