Finger Eleven vocalist Scott Anderson shared insights about acoustic performances in an interview with We Go To 11. The band focuses on maintaining energy and variety in their acoustic sets.

“I think so. I mean I don’t know if I can always read an audience properly every time,” Anderson said. “But I think what’s nice is maybe if somebody’s waiting for the heavier stuff, at least we’re like we’re not going to waste your time.”

“But just because it’s acoustic, it doesn’t mean it’s boring or unenergetic,” he continued. “We try to be mindful of that as well. Like, ‘All right, listen we’re here you’re here and we don’t want to waste your time and we’re going to give you a show either way.’ It’s just simply going to be at a you know slightly different volume level. So, we’re not here to put anybody asleep. I hope that people are enjoying it.”

The band has proven their dedication to engaging acoustic performances through successful shows across Canada and the United States.

Notable Acoustic Performances

Finger Eleven reached a significant milestone with their performance at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre in St. Catharines, Ontario. Local media coverage highlighted their acoustic rendition of ‘Slow Chemical.’ This performance demonstrated their skill in reimagining heavier material in a stripped-down format.

The band’s acoustic expertise shone through their sold-out shows at the Rope Factory in Brantford, Ontario. These intimate performances successfully transformed their high-energy songs into compelling acoustic arrangements.

Recent Developments

Finger Eleven continues to explore new directions in their acoustic presentations. Their performance at 98KUPD studios in Arizona showcased an acoustic version of their new single ‘Together Right.’

This studio session revealed the band’s versatility. It also reinforced their commitment to maintaining high-energy performances in acoustic settings.

Venue Selection And Audience Connection

The band’s strategic venue choices have contributed significantly to their acoustic success. Their preference for intimate settings creates stronger connections with audiences while preserving their musical dynamics.

These carefully curated acoustic shows have established a bridge between Finger Eleven’s hard rock roots and their more nuanced performances. This approach validates Anderson’s assertion about acoustic sets matching the engagement level of their electric shows.
