Anthrax played the Roxy in West Hollywood on 26 September 2026, a one-night club date built around the release of Cursum Perficio. The show landed in the middle of a busy late-September run through Southern California.
The set balanced old and new. “It’s For The Kids” came early, followed by “Got the Time,” “Madhouse,” “Metal Thrashing Mad,” “Caught in a Mosh,” “Antisocial” and “Indians.” Most of the night went to songs the band has played for decades, with the new material given a slot rather than the centre.
The room set the tone. Demand for a space this size was high, the running time was short, and the crowd stayed with the band from the first song. “Caught in a Mosh” and “I’m the Man” belong in a club, not an arena.
Production stayed simple: doors at 8:00, the band on at 9:00, and nothing on stage that suggested a scaled-down arena rig. The setlist and the size of the room were the story, not the staging.
Anthrax still uses its classic catalogue to fill a place, then works new songs into the middle of it. That approach suits a small room better than a big one. The new songs got their slot; the old ones carried the night.
