Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson of the legendary rock band Rush have issued a heartfelt apology to fans following the postponement of their Fort Worth concert. The band members addressed the inconvenience caused by unexpected logistics challenges in an official video message. These challenges forced them to delay their first scheduled show in the area.

“Hi there from Texas. We are finally here. We want to sincerely apologize to all those people that are inconvenienced by the mishap that happened coming into the country with our gear that caused us to postpone our first show. We feel terrible about that,” Geddy Lee said in the video.

Alex Lifeson echoed the sentiment, stating, “Well, I feel terrible about that. But what can you do? It’s one of those things. Trucks didn’t come here. Eventually, they did. Everything’s set up as you can see and it’s gonna be great. We’re gonna make up on a great last show.”

The postponement reflects the complex logistical challenges that touring bands face when crossing international borders with their equipment and production materials. Rush’s situation highlights how unforeseen circumstances in the touring industry can impact carefully planned concert schedules, even for established acts with decades of experience managing large-scale productions.

The band’s Fort Worth show at Dickies Arena was originally scheduled for June 24, 2026. It has been rescheduled to July 2, 2026, due to the equipment delays. Despite the setback, Rush remains committed to delivering an exceptional performance for their fans who have traveled from across the region to see them. The band is planning four additional shows as part of their tour and is determined to make the rescheduled Fort Worth date a memorable experience that compensates for the initial disappointment.

Geddy Lee concluded the apology by reaffirming the band’s commitment to their fans: “So we got four shows. We’re excited about it, and the postponed show. We’re gonna make even less mistakes than we normally do. Anyway, again, heartfelt apologies to all those that came from far and wide to see these shows.” The band’s transparent communication and genuine remorse demonstrate their respect for their dedicated fanbase and their understanding of the frustration caused by the postponement.
