Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson was spotted in public for the first time since reports emerged that he had been fired from the band. The musician was seen arriving at a recording studio in Los Angeles just days after the news about his departure from the legendary heavy metal group broke.

“Sid Wilson is back in public for the first time since getting the boot from Slipknot making a low-key appearance as he headed into a recording studio in Los Angeles,” TMZ reported. “In video obtained by TMZ, Sid is seen arriving at the studio with a friend just days after we broke the story that he was out of the legendary heavy metal band.”

“Sid was asked point-blank if he’d been fired from Slipknot, but he didn’t bite. Instead, the DJ kept his head down and stayed silent as his friend flashed a smile and joked, ‘We are late for church man,’ before the pair disappeared inside the studio,” the statement continued.

The silence from Wilson comes after days of swirling speculation about his future with the band. TMZ was the first to break the story on July 31, reporting that the 49-year-old musician had been notified late that Friday afternoon that he was permanently kicked out of the nine-piece outfit. No specific reason was given at the time, and neither Wilson nor Slipknot issued any official statement confirming the move.

A follow-up report later alleged that the decision was linked to Wilson’s behavior toward his bandmates, with sources claiming he had mistreated fellow members. However, those claims have also remained unconfirmed by the band itself, leaving fans and media outlets to rely on unnamed sources for information.

Adding to the confusion, Slipknot guitarist Jim Root took to social media with a cryptic message urging fans not to ‘believe everything you read.’ The post was widely interpreted as a pushback against treating the rumors as settled fact, suggesting that the situation may be more complicated than the initial reports indicated.

Wilson has also made his first social media post since the firing rumors began, but he did not address his alleged exit. Instead, he promoted his new merchandise store, offering no hints about his status with the band.

As the situation continues to develop, neither the band nor Wilson has provided any official clarity. Whether the DJ will eventually break his silence or Slipknot will issue a formal statement remains to be seen.
