Journey keyboardist Jonathan Cain recently shared his excitement about returning to the road for the band’s “Final Frontier” tour following a brief break, which will also mark his final tour with the group. Cain expressed his thoughts in a new post shared on Instagram.
In his post, Cain reflected on the benefits of taking some time off and shared his enthusiasm for performing again.
“Time off has been good for the soul, but I’m ready to get back on the road!” Cain said. “Grateful for the rest, excited for what’s ahead, and still counting every blessing God continues to pour into my life. Can’t wait to see you all out there!”
This upcoming tour marks a significant milestone for Cain, who previously opened up about his decision to step away from touring with Journey. He explained that his age and the demanding nature of life on the road influenced his choice to retire from touring.
“It’s time for me, at my age,” Cain previously stated regarding his decision. “I wanna live my life, and the road just is so consuming and it just seems like a good time to get off, for me. And I just love our fans, and I wanna do it in a proper farewell, to say goodbye.”
The “Final Frontier” tour will serve as Cain’s official farewell to Journey’s fans.
