Falling In Reverse frontman Ronnie Radke recently addressed a rumored fallout with former Escape the Fate bassist Max Green in a post shared on Instagram.

The post was shared to honor the 20th anniversary of Escape the Fate’s debut album, Dying Is Your Latest Fashion, with Radke thanking those who contributed to his early career.

“20 years ago this (Dying Is Your Latest Fashion) was released,” Radke said. “Thank you to Brett Gurewitz and Sue Lucarelli for taking a chance on this. This was the beginning of the vision of not letting a specific genre define me.”

He also reflected on his personal journey and expressed gratitude to his fans and former bandmates.

“This serves as a reminder where I came from,” Radke continued. “I am grateful for the fans, I deserve my success. I earned every bit of it. Thank you Robert’s dad and mom Robert Monte and Omar for your creativeness and putting up with my drug addiction and impatience. I’m glad we remained friends after all these years. Album has no skips.”

After noticing that Max Green was left out of the message, a fan asked, “Aww, did you have a fallout with Max? Much love.”

In response to this question, Radke addressed the situation.

“My life has turned out exactly the way I wanted and hoped for let’s leave it at that,” Radke said.

This comment provides some insight into the current relationship between the former bandmates. The exchange also echoes a long history between Radke, Green and Escape the Fate that stretches back two decades. Much of that history is documented in the band’s own timeline, and it helps explain why a simple thank-you post drew so much attention.

Radke left Escape the Fate just weeks before the band released Dying Is Your Latest Fashion in September 2006 because of reported substance abuse issues. His exit was not the end of the story, as his legal and addiction problems continued to shape the band’s early years.

Radke was ultimately fired from Escape the Fate in 2008 after he was sentenced to prison for violating his probation in connection with a 2006 killing in Las Vegas. The band replaced him with Craig Mabbitt, formerly of Blessthefall, and moved forward without him.

Radke has spoken publicly about the pressures he faced during that period. “The courts gave me a recipe for disaster,” he told. “They said I’d have to pay $93,000 in restitution, $30 a month to the probation officers, $30 a month to a drug counselor, $30 a month for impulse-control, and I’m not allowed to tour with my band, and I’d have to get a real job.”

Green’s own time in Escape the Fate followed a similarly complicated path. Green stepped away from the group to deal with personal family issues, and his bandmates openly worried about his history with drugs. The band described the split as difficult on both sides.

Escape the Fate later toured with Radke despite their estranged past, showing that the relationship between the two camps has shifted over the years. Radke’s latest comment suggests that whatever remains between him and Green is still a subject he prefers to keep private.
