Fred Coury, drummer for the rock band Cinderella, recently addressed speculation about a possible reunion during an appearance on The Metal Voice.
When asked directly about whether the band might come together again, Coury gave a clear update on their plans for next year. “There’s not. No, we were to do a big tour next summer, a huge tour. And it’s just not going to happen,” Coury said.
He went on to explain that his schedule has filled up with other major commitments. “I just started production on season 3 of The Arc. It’s a sci-fi show. It’s on sci-fi, and then it streams on Peacock. And then I have a few other big things that are happening that I can’t really talk about,” he said.
The decision to scrap the reunion tour is tied to Coury’s expanding workload across various high-profile projects. His creative efforts now extend well beyond drumming, highlighting his broad skill set as both a musician and a composer.
As noted by Full in Bloom, Coury serves as the composer for the sci-fi series The Ark, which airs on SYFY. His contributions go further than performance—he wrote the show’s original theme on piano. The soundtrack, containing 43 tracks spanning both seasons, was released by Lakeshore Records on October 10, 2025, emphasizing the depth of his involvement.
In addition to his television work, Coury has continued to broaden his career through sonic branding in the sports world, according to Blabbermouth. He creates scoring and theme music for sports teams and related content, further demonstrating why committing to a major tour would be difficult at this stage.
Although a full Cinderella reunion seems improbable, fans may still have something to look forward to. Coury and bassist Eric Brittingham have expressed willingness to consider a single special performance, as noted by Blabbermouth. They also acknowledged the emotional weight of performing without late bandmates Jeff LaBar and Gary Corbett, a factor that complicates any attempt to move forward as a reunited group.
This update marks a notable change from earlier expectations, as the band had previously been preparing for a large-scale tour planned for next summer. Still, Coury’s flourishing career in composition and multimedia projects illustrates how his artistic path continues to grow in new and meaningful directions.
