Poison drummer Rikki Rockett recently cleared the air regarding his past comments about the band’s failed 2026 tour plans and discussed whether they will reunite in 2027 during an appearance on the Beardo & Weirdo Podcast.

When asked if it bothers him when people ask about when the band is going to put it back together and go on tour again, Rockett shared his frustration.

“Yes, because I don’t have an answer,” Rockett said. “But hopefully 2027 is the real answer. Hopefully that’ll work out and um you know and we’ll do it. But yes, it’s just frustrating because I don’t know.”

The interviewer then asked if Rockett regretted being so honest and transparent a couple of months ago about what was holding up the tour.

“A little bit,” Rockett responded. “But it’s weird how they re-edit like what I said so many different ways. And then every outlet started asking me and I’m like, ‘Guys, I’m not going to go through this again. I already gave you an answer. It is what it is.'”

He then explained his motivation for speaking out in the first place.

“I mean that was, the only reason and I don’t want to start I know I’ll start stuff back up again,” Rockett continued. “I was responding to somebody else in that moment. Because I don’t air our personal stuff, what Poison does or what we make or how we split it and all that kind of stuff, but there was a person alleging some of that and I wanted to set the record straight pretty much. So that’s how that went, you know.”

Rockett’s latest comments shed more light on the ongoing uncertainty surrounding Poison’s reunion plans, which have been a major talking point among fans following earlier reports about why the original lineup’s 2026 tour never materialized.

Poison’s much-anticipated 40th anniversary tour was put on hold after lead vocalist Bret Michaels demanded to receive six dollars for every dollar his bandmates earned from the tour.

In earlier interviews, Rockett had painted a more optimistic picture of the band’s future. Rockett confirmed that the original lineup would regroup in 2026, stating, “Oh yeah. Yeah, absolutely, ’26 is for sure going to happen unless some unforeseen thing happens, but all the band members have stuck their hands in and said, ‘Yeah, we’re definitely doing it without a doubt.'”

Rockett previously said the tour plans were still unfinalized, explaining, “It’s not figured out. We have agreed to do a minimum of 40 dates and maybe more.”

Meanwhile, the band’s touring status has remained unsettled throughout 2025 and into 2026. Bret Michaels continued performing festival shows with his solo band through 2025, while the original Poison lineup was expected to regroup for a larger run the following year. As of now, there is no official Poison tour confirmed on the calendar.
