Falling in Reverse frontman Ronnie Radke opened up about his past feud with ex-Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach and radio personality Eddie Trunk, where they accused Ronnie of lip syncing, and he issued fierce responses to Bach exposing his private pictures online, and Radke explained why he got that angry about Bach’s accusations.

Radke addressed the controversy directly: “He was trying to make it seem like I don’t sing my songs. Like I’m literally a live singer. It’s just you don’t understand what it’s like. Everybody uses laptops. Metallica uses lap. They have laptops like we have laptops. We use laptops.”

“Imagine me performing Watch the World Burn with no laptops. you’d have to hire a f*cking 60piece orchestral and 1700 buses for all this. We can’t do that. It’s like we need laptops and like that’s why I have DL singing. That’s why I have Christian singing. We have more singers and better singers than him in my band. Like it doesn’t make any sense.”

“I think he thinks that because there’s a laptop, it means we’re mimming our music. If you’ve been to my shows, you know that it’s my vocal. I have never lied in my life, ever. It’s very obvious. That’s why there’s not a single YouTube video people want to catch that. They want to be the guy that catches try to catch it.”

“You’re not going to catch it because it doesn’t exist. It’s like after 20 years of me being on YouTube of live videos on phones and all whatever it is, you’re going to find it at least once if I’m doing that. But you can’t, you know, it’s, you know, it’s very very obvious. You know, so it’s stupid.”

“It’s very stupid because all those bands that Eddie Trunk and all them that praise, they’re all using tracks, right? Eddie Trunk, I don’t understand. I don’t get Eddie Trunk’s whole angle. He is not a musician, but he’s speaking on behalf of musician, bro. Your favorite bands that you glorify are using tracks. Aerosmith uses tracks. You can hear it. I’m a musician. I know for a fact, you know, so he just doesn’t respect the younger generation. It’s like old man yelling at a cloud.”

“I will always remember how Eddie Trunk and Sebastian Bach treated me and I will go out of my way when I get too old and I’m yelling at the cloud to really understand musicians these days. Or those, you know, that are coming up. I that it they taught me a lesson to not be like them, you know. I think it’s really stupid, you know.”

The feud Radke refuses to forget did not start with the accusations he addressed here. Its roots stretch back years, to one canceled festival set and a missing piece of touring equipment.

The dispute began in October 2022, when Falling in Reverse pulled out of a festival appearance because the band’s laptops went missing. Radke defended the decision at the time by comparing the equipment to an essential part of a vehicle: “As a band in 2022, you need your laptops. It’s like driving a car without an engine.”

The cancellation quickly drew criticism from SiriusXM host Eddie Trunk, a longtime opponent of pre-recorded tracks in live rock shows. Trunk said in a Facebook post that he was stunned by the situation, writing, “This is astonishing. First I heard about this I thought it was a joke to wind me up.”

Radke hit back at Trunk in a post that made his position clear, writing: “@EddieTrunk so you wanna talk hella shit about laptops but go watch Kiss lip sync. Steven Tyler plays the piano then half way through the song he stands on top of piano while it still plays, yet here we are acting like they all don’t use tracks.” The message was the point where Sebastian Bach entered the argument.

Bach sided with Trunk and traded insults with Radke in a public exchange over backing tracks, with the two musicians labeling each other “idiot” and “dummy.” The moment was the point where Radke “picked up his phone and declared a personal war on Bach in particular.”

The conflict boiled over again in 2024. Bach reignited the feud with new comments about the laptop controversy, and Radke responded by saying he had a compromising private video of the singer and previewing it online – the incident behind Radke’s fierce reaction to Bach’s accusations. Trunk’s core argument throughout has remained consistent, he believes fans should not accept rock shows that are “not really being live,” and he used the missing-laptops cancellation to call out the broader use of backing tracks in modern live performance.

TAGGED: Eddie Trunk, Falling In Reverse, Ronnie Radke, Sebastian Bach, Skid Row
