Since Perry Farrell’s attack on Dave Navarro during a live Jane’s Addiction show, Navarro posted on social media for the first time.

Goodnight…,” the rocker wrote on Instagram with just one picture from the same night the incident happened. During the attack, the guitarist placed his arm on Farrell’s chest to hold him back instead of fighting back. This move received a lot of positive feedback.

“You handled that with immense grace + professionalism onstage. I’m sorry it happened to you in the first place though,” a user wrote. “You’re the man, Dave! A true class act through and through,” another one said. “Elegant, eloquent and always the epitome of class…love you my brother,” another added.

The incident happened on September 13 at the Leader Bank Pavilion in Boston, Massachusetts. Towards the end of Jane’s Addiction’s set while they were finishing up ‘Ocean Size,’ Farrell bumped into Navarro, got in his face, and swore at him.

Farrell’s wife explained the situation in an Instagram statement. “WHY: Perry’s frustration had been mounting, night after night, he felt that the stage volume had been extremely loud and his voice was being drowned out by the band. Perry had been suffering from tinnitus and a sore throat every night. But when the audience in the first row, started complaining up to Perry cussing at him that the band was planning too loud and that they couldn’t hear him, Perry lost it,” she wrote.

The band apologized in a recent statement they shared on Instagram, but this raised concerns after Navarro’s latest post with just the word ‘Goodbye.’ Though it’s not certain whether or not it is actually a goodbye message to the band and fans, everything will be clear in the band’s next show on September 18 in Toronto, Canada.
