Former Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach, who is currently touring with Twisted Sister as Dee Snider’s replacement, recently issued a strict warning to fans bringing AI art for autographs in a video shared on Instagram.
In the video, Bach expressed his frustration with fans bringing home-printed items and AI-generated artwork to airport meetups. He emphasized his refusal to sign anything that is not an official release or made by humans.
“I have to do a little video announcement here, okay?” Bach said. “I just met a bunch of fans who met me here at the airport to get pictures and autographs and stuff, and that’s really cool, and I don’t mind that at all. But I’m not signing stuff that you guys made on your printer in your basement, stacks and stacks of it.”
He clarified that he is only willing to sign official merchandise.
“I will sign official items that have come out under my name, like records, CDs, magazine posters, stuff that’s official,” he continued. “If you’re gonna go make some stuff in your basement, I’m not gonna sign it, okay? I will sign real items.”
Bach then addressed AI-generated art specifically, expressing strong disapproval of the technology.
“But the real point of this video thing is don’t come to me with AI bullshit for me to sign,” he added. “I will never ever sign anything AI, because I hate it. I f*cking hate AI. I hate it with every fiber of my being. And to see people come up with slop expecting me to sign it, I will never sign it. You’re wasting your time.”
He urged fans to only bring items created by humans.
“So if you want an autograph, bring something that’s made by humans for humans,” Bach said. “F*ck AI, and I will never sign anything AI in my life. So you’ve been told. I know all the other bands are doing it. I’m not in those bands. I will never give you guys anything AI.”
He concluded by reiterating his stance on what materials he is willing to sign.
“And don’t make some shit for me to sign, because it makes me want to throw up in my mouth,” he concluded. “So f*ck AI, but here for vinyl records, CDs, magazines, books, stuff made by humans for humans.”
The warning is not an isolated reaction. Bach’s refusal to accept AI-generated material fits a position he has stated publicly before, and it arrives while he is in the middle of a demanding touring schedule with Twisted Sister.
Sebastian Philip Bierk, known professionally as Sebastian Bach, is a Canadian singer who achieved mainstream success as the frontman of Skid Row from 1987 to 1996. That decade-long run remains the core of his mainstream profile and helps explain why the items fans bring to him are so often tied to that era.
Twisted Sister announced in March 2026 that Bach would front the band for select dates, with guitarists Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda calling him an “iconic vocalist and frontman.” The band brought him in shortly after Dee Snider resigned from the group on February 5, citing health challenges, including degenerative arthritis.
Bach was named as Dee Snider’s replacement in March 2026, and the tour officially opened on September 4, 2026, in Palmer, Alaska, with eleven more fall shows to follow. He had made an unofficial debut with the band a week earlier at an intimate New Jersey show before the full run began.
Bach’s stance on artificial intelligence also predates the airport video. In an earlier statement, he made his position clear and connected it to his long career.
“I can guarantee you this, anybody watching this, you have to understand: I *hate* A.I.,” he said. “All this A.I. garbage — you have my word that you’ve known me for 40 years almost now, I will never use that in any way.”
