Tommy Lee recently criticized rock musicians for promoting album releases while wildfires rage.

On Instagram, the Mötley Crüe drummer wrote, “Makes me f*cking sick to see most people just caring on a posting on lame a** social media!” He continued, “Guys right now nobody gives a flying f*ck when your record drops or the next concert is when so many people are in the middle of one of the biggest disasters of all time!”

Lee further commented, “I get that some comic relief is always needed, but Jesus Christ leave it all alone and maybe just stop and see who needs help if you can.”

The fires have claimed at least 24 lives and scorched 40,000 acres, destroying over 12,300 structures, according to NBC News. The largest fire, the Palisades Fire, has consumed over 23,000 acres and remains only 14% contained, threatening areas such as Brentwood, Encino, and Westwood.

Evacuations have been ordered for 92,000 people, with an additional 89,000 on alert in case they need to leave. Los Angeles County has declared a public health emergency due to smoke and air particles.

Meanwhile, Disturbed’s David Draiman recently condemned social media users who expressed support for the wildfires on Instagram. He wrote, “There are people on this platform cheering on the destruction caused by the Los Angeles Fires. Delighting in the misery and misfortune of others. Nothing justifies this. No reason. No cause. NOTHING. Absolute scum. The lot of you.”

In a separate incident, Joe Bonamassa criticized Meghan Markle on X for her perceived lack of genuine help for wildfire victims. Sharing a Variety article about Markle’s delayed Netflix show, he wrote, “How brave! You know thousands of people are ‘pushing back’ their breakfast tomorrow morning because they don’t have kitchens to prepare it nor homes to wake up in.”

Responding to a fan’s comment, Bonamassa said, “I am being nice. There are a lot of very angry citizens in Los Angeles right now. The ‘royals’ don’t mean anything when you are face to face with losing it all.”

Several rock musicians, including Lee, Bonamassa, Brad Wilk of Rage Against the Machine, and Scott Ian of Anthrax, were forced to evacuate their homes due to the ongoing fires.
