Jaime, Chester Bennington’s son, recently opened up about an unsettling situation involving his late father’s widow, Talinda, in a series of Instagram stories.
He explained, “In between January and May, Talinda called me. She goes, ‘Jaime, you’re gonna come to my house. You’re gonna take care of my kids. I’m going to take the jail time. I’m so angry right now.'” Jaime was initially confused, asking, “‘What are you talking about?'”
Talinda revealed, “She said, ‘John, Tobi’s husband, is back online and revising our entire history now, saying that you and I had a sexual affair for five months. It’s disgusting. I’m sick and tired of these people. I’m going to fly over there, I’m gonna kill both of them. You’ve access to my stay. You take care of the kids, you live in my house, everything will be yours. I’ll take time, I’ll get out and I’m fine with that. I’m fine with taking the time.'”
Jaime then recounted how he responded, “I had to talk her off that ledge. I said, ‘No, no, no. You don’t get to make decisions for me. And two, you’re not killing anybody. That’s insane.'”
He continued, “I said, ‘Talinda, this is the last thing I’ll do for you. I’ll talk to Tobi.’ So, I called Tobi after calling John ten times.” Jaime explained his frustration with the situation, adding, “In fact, if you went and looked at my old Twitter, which is now deactivated. It has been deactivated for years because I hate Twitter. You’ll see that I called him a coward because he tried to say ‘Talinda caught assault from the kids, could you imagine how horrible that is?'”
Jaime went on, saying, “I said, ‘No, no, no. I called you ten times, you coward. And every time you had a migraine, every time you didn’t wanna face me, and then I had to talk to your wife’ because I went straight to the source, to John, not Tobi.”
He added, “You guys I already told you these kids are dangerous. You guys can’t believe what he wanted. Be smart about it. All you do is walk around and say horrible, awful things all the time. And you don’t seem to care who says it when, where, why. And it is affecting the children, which I was in a position to protect, right? We all know this.”
In another video, Jaime shared more about his role in distancing himself from certain people in Talinda’s life. “Yeah, I was the one who cut all these people off. I cut off Susan. That’s why I had to reconnect with her a year ago on the sixth death anniversary. I cut off Church in Talinda’s house, for her. I said, ‘You can’t talk like that. You can’t be around us if you’re gonna do that. Get out of here.’ Never came back. Don’t talk to me now.”
He also spoke about his personal experience with Talinda, stating, “I’m the one who cut Tobi off. All the decenters in Talinda’s sphere, unfortunately, I was the one who cut them off. Yeah, that one b,t me in the a**, didn’t it?”
Jaime further detailed an interaction with Talinda, saying, “Anyways, my birthday comes along, Talinda calls me, ‘Hi,’ on pain pills and ambient. She invites me to something, alludes that it’s sexual in nature. Even Eliza, my cousin, agreed with what it sounded like. She was startled, she had to talk to Talinda for me as a middleman.”
Recently, Jaime revealed that he had previously dealt with a stalker who claimed to be possessed by Chester and threatened his family. Although he reported the situation to the authorities, Jaime stressed that no retaliation was necessary. He explained that the stalker might have been going through a psychotic episode and had recently been hospitalized.
