Former Skid Row vocalist Sebastian Bach expressed his enthusiasm about Isaac Carpenter’s appointment as Guns N’ Roses’ new drummer in a recent Instagram post. A long-standing creative relationship between Bach and Carpenter has spanned over 15 years of songwriting collaboration.

“I wanna say congrats to Isaac Carpenter for landing the drum stool in Guns N’ Roses!!” Bach shared. “I don’t know if people realize this but I have been working with Isaac writing songs for over 15 years now!”

“Check out the credits and you will see that I co wrote the songs ‘(Hold On) To the Dream’ ‘Vendetta’ ‘Everybody Bleeds’ & ‘All My Friends Are Dead’ with Isaac & Devin Bronson!” he continued. “Every track an absolute banger!!!! This all makes sense because it was Duff McKagan who hooked me up with Devin and Isaac in the first place at least 15 or 16 years ago now! Congrats guys looking forward to hearing the music!”

Bassist Duff McKagan initially facilitated the connection between Carpenter and Guns N’ Roses by introducing him to Bach years ago. This appointment represents a significant milestone in Carpenter’s established rock music career.

Extensive Musical Background

Louder Sound highlighted Carpenter’s reputation as a versatile drummer through his work with various high-profile acts. His dynamic drumming style combines technical prowess with groove-oriented patterns, making him a sought-after musician in the rock scene.

His collaborations span across notable artists including Awolnation, Adam Lambert, and A Perfect Circle. These partnerships demonstrate his adaptability to different musical styles and environments.

Loudwire revealed that Carpenter’s relationship with Guns N’ Roses members existed before his current appointment. His work with Duff McKagan’s solo project, Loaded, established this connection.

His previous collaboration with McKagan proved instrumental in joining the Guns N’ Roses lineup. This transition exemplifies how professional relationships within the industry can create significant career opportunities.

Upcoming Tour Plans

NBC Right Now confirmed Carpenter’s live debut with Guns N’ Roses will take place on May 1, 2025, at Songdo Moonlight Park in Incheon, South Korea.

The performance will launch the band’s ‘Because What You Want & What You Get Are Two Completely Different Things Tour.’ This event marks a new chapter for both Carpenter’s career and the band’s history.
