Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson has finished recording vocals for his highly anticipated solo album. The singer shared the news through a studio photo, revealing that he and producer Brendan Duffey Audio celebrated the completion in the vocal booth. “Finished vocals for the new album today, me and Brendan Duffey Audio, the producer, having a selfie in the vocal booth!” he said. “Now he’s off to mix it in Florida. Chris Declercq, Dave Moreno, Brendan Duffey Audio, and me saying farewell to the doom room … for now.”
The upcoming album represents Dickinson’s eighth solo effort. It is tentatively scheduled for release in early 2027 through BMG, following his previous solo work “The Mandrake Project” which arrived in March 2024. The recording sessions took place over an intensive 21-day period in January and February 2026 at Dave Grohl’s renowned Studio 606 in Northridge, California. The band captured an impressive 16 songs performed live in the room with all musicians present simultaneously.
The production team assembled for this project brings considerable expertise to the table. Brendan Duffey serves as both the album’s producer and will oversee the mixing process at his facility, Brendan Duffey Audio, located in Jupiter, Florida. The recording sessions involved Dickinson’s touring band, creating a cohesive and energetic sound captured during those intensive weeks in California. This approach of recording live with the full ensemble has become a hallmark of Dickinson’s recent solo work, emphasizing the raw energy and chemistry between the musicians.
Beyond the technical accomplishments, the album carries personal significance for Dickinson as it features a collaboration with his son Austin Dickinson. Austin contributed songwriting to one of the album’s key tracks, representing one of the album’s most important contributions.
