Dee Snider Reveals Dream Band Lineup, But Worries About Angus Young’s Height

Dee Snider recently shared his dream live band lineup on X, adding a humorous comment about how their heights might impact their stage presence.

“So, in the 80s, I imagined my ultimate ‘performing’ band,” the ex-Twisted Sister vocalist wrote. “My lineup would be (in our prime) Angus Young, Juan Croucier (Ratt) and Scott Rockenfeld (Queensrÿche). That’s a helluva show! This said, as Angus and Juan are not big guys, I’m afraid I’d (unintentionally) trample them!”

Angus Young, known for his small stature and signature schoolboy outfit since the 1970s, has become an iconic figure in rock. Standing at 5 feet 2 inches, he was even chosen ‘The Greatest Short Dude’ by Maxim in 2005.

Young previously spoke about how his height attracted attention, by telling Total Guitar, “Oh, I had a few wild nights over the years, but most of the time, everyone else was having them for me.”

“Because of the schoolboy uniform, some women have tried to mother me – they think I’m cute because I’m so short,” he explained. “But playing has always been the thing for me.”

In 2020, Young went back into the studio with AC/DC for their first album since 2014, ‘Power Up.’ The band returned to touring in early 2024 to promote the record.

This month, they announced a North American tour leg scheduled for 2025, with shows across the U.S. and Canada from April to late May. The Pretty Reckless will continue as the opening act.

TAGGED: AC/DC, Angus Young, Dee Snider, Twisted Sister
