Guns N’ Roses has confirmed plans for their long-expected world tour in 2025. The band announced the news on Saturday, using the cryptic slogan, “Because what you want and what you get are two completely different things.” Exact dates and venues are expected to be revealed soon.

Along with the tour announcement, rumors about a new album began circulating. While many fans are excited for the upcoming tour, others are hoping for something more. “What we want is Izzy and Steven back in the band and a new album of original material written by the AFD lineup. So yes what we want and what we get are two completely different things.”

Another user added their thoughts on bringing Izzy Stradlin and Steven Adler back. “Two different thing… for the new tour… Izzy and Steven!!” Another user responded to the comment, “[It] would be awesome to see Izzy, but I dare say it is just a new album.”

The announcement comes after bassist Duff McKagan’s recent comments about the possibility of a new album. “We’ve got that record. And I don’t know when I’ll put it out because there’s more Guns stuff to come here sooner than later,” McKagan told Pełna Kulturka. “So I don’t wanna put out a record while Guns is doing a thing. I try to stagger all of that stuff. So when that record will come out, the next record, I don’t know. I could just put three records out at one time, but that’d be too much.”

Guns N’ Roses released a four-song EP titled ‘Hard Skool’ in February 2022. The EP was available exclusively through the band’s official store, and it included two new tracks — the title track and ‘Absurd’ — along with live versions of ‘Don’t Cry’ and ‘You’re Crazy.’
