A fan recently asked Nikki Sixx on X what artist he was most listening to these days. The bassist responded by teasing new music.

“When I’m writing, I don’t listen to other music,” he shared. “I don’t want it to creep into my creativity. Make sense?”

Mötley Crüe released their newest single, ‘Dogs of War,’ in April 2024 through their new label, Big Machine Records and announced two more singles lined up for release in the coming months.

Vince Neil told Billboard, “There’ll definitely be new music out next year, for sure. ’Cause we recorded a couple of other songs, too. Maybe we’ll release one of those by the end of the year, but I can’t say. But we want to keep putting out new music — not, maybe, an album but a few songs here, a few songs there, and that’s good.”

Although Nikki Sixx ruled out the possibility of a new full-length album in the near future, he made it clear that the band would continue getting into the studio to create music.

“First of all, we’re always creating — always creating,” the bassist explained to Rock 102.1 KFMA in July. “And I was working on something this morning. I was just playing bass. My daughter was getting ready for school and I’m, like, ‘Whoa, what’s that?’ And I put it on my little voice messages and I will eventually show it to the band or [our longtime producer] Bob [Rock] or whatever.”

Mötley Crüe will perform at Lucas Oil Live at WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, OK, on August 17. Following a few more US dates, the band will wrap up their tour on the Aftershock 2024 stage in Sacramento, CA, on October 13.
