Nita Strauss has revealed her deep connection to Swedish metal in a recent interview with Guitar World. The guitarist, recognized for her work with Alice Cooper and solo career, discussed melodic death metal’s significant impact on her musical development.

“The next riff is by a band that I consider to be my Beatles, and that is Sweden’s own In Flames,” Strauss revealed. “In Flames is, you know, the band that I always list as my favorite band.”

“When I was growing up getting into heavy music, I was always really drawn by these sort of inversions and chords that the Swedish melodic death metal bands use,” she continued, “and this is a song called ‘Bullet Ride.'”

The discussion occurred during a demonstration of influential riffs. Her admiration for In Flames has materialized through recent professional collaborations and achievements.
