The Darkness has announced the postponement of their upcoming shows in Newcastle and Manchester through an official statement on Instagram. A chest infection has forced frontman Justin Hawkins to seek immediate medical attention.

“It is with great regret that we have to announce that Justin has been diagnosed with a chest infection this morning, and told by the doctor that he cannot sing for a few days,” the band stated in their official announcement. “As a result, The Darkness’ shows and VIP events in Newcastle and Manchester will be rescheduled.”

The band faces this health setback during a period of significant career developments and touring plans.
