Taylor Momsen Prays For AC/DC’s U.S. Tour, Gets Her Wish

In a new post on X, Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless expressed her hope that AC/DC would come to America.

“Of ‘Spirits of Rock,’ I pray to you, please bring AC/DC to America. Rock Gods, and please have the Pretty Reckless open for them,” the singer said in a video message.

After seeing the announcement that AC/DC would be touring the U.S., Momsen shared her excitement, saying, “It worked. We’re going on tour with AC/DC baby. Tickets go on sale Friday. Make sure you get them before they’re gone. It’s gonna be f*cking epic.”

Momsen’s wish was granted as AC/DC revealed their 2025 North American tour. This marks the band’s first U.S. tour in nine years. The ‘Power Up’ stadium tour, named after their 2020 album, will kick off in Minneapolis.

The lineup for the tour includes Angus Young, Brian Johnson, Stevie Young, Matt Laug, and Chris Chaney. They will perform in cities like Detroit, Las Vegas, and Chicago, with the final show in Cleveland in late May.

However, some fans remain skeptical about Brian Johnson’s ability to perform due to his hearing issues. “I mean, isn’t Brian mostly deaf at this point? I’m surprised he’s still touring at all,” one fan wrote on Reddit.

Another fan added, “The lead singer is near deaf. He’s been told he cannot play ‘stadium size venues’ because the amplification necessary would certainly finish off his hearing. So I’m extremely curious what venues they will play.”

“Honestly, I saw them at Wembley last year and was very unimpressed. Brian’s voice was buried so far in the mix that he was pretty much unintelligible for 90% of the show,” one other person shared in their comments.

Another fan expressed mixed feelings, “Man I’m mixed. On one hand, I’m well aware that they’re past their prime and this is going to be an expensive ticket. On the other, AC/DC is literally the last band on my bucket list.”

AC/DC had a European and U.K. tour this summer after an eight-year hiatus. During their last tour in 2016, Johnson had to leave due to hearing problems, and Axl Rose filled in for him.
