Motionless In White has been working on a new album, but according to Chris Motionless, the process is moving slowly.

In a recent interview with Rock Sound, he explained why the band isn’t rushing its release. He recalled a moment of reflection when he realized he needed to step back and focus on what truly mattered. “To me, it’s so wild because that time frame that you and I talked, and then shortly after Apocalypse Fest, I kind of just had this moment where I was like I just need to be honest with everybody and kind of see what the temperature of the room is within the band, within our team and kind of really have somebody say, ‘Hey it’s okay man, like you can chill for a moment.'”

“It was cool to see that everybody was supportive, ‘Hey don’t worry about dumb sh*t. That really doesn’t matter in the end, worry about you and the record and the things that are important.’ That was awesome to have that support system,” he shared.

While fans are eager for new material, Cerulli assured them that the band is committed to taking their time. “I obviously think the fans saw that and they were supportive as well of the situation. Since then I would say things have gotten a lot better. it’s still a slow process. I don’t have any expected release date. We’re going to work on it until we feel like we’re happy with it. It’s that simple and that plain and black and white. You’ll get it when you get it. That’s the narrative I’m sticking to, and that’s what’s best for everybody.”

Changing Their Approach

MIW first revealed that they were working on new music last year. In an interview with MetalShop TV, the frontman admitted that their approach to making albums has changed significantly. “Doing an album in three months just is not realistic anymore, at least not for us,” he told MetalShop TV. “And that’s what we were used to back in the day. But that’s not our reality anymore. We’re taking our time with it. We’re doing tours in between.”

“And honestly, when it’s done, it’s done. I have no date that I’m announcing. It will be next year, that’s for sure. But I’m not even thinking about a date. I’m just writing the coolest songs that we could write. And we’re really excited about what we have,” the rocker added.

It might take some time before fans hear new music, but Chris is confident that the wait will be worthwhile.
