“Some issues have forced me to limit appearances outside of the USA this year, and this means, unfortunately, I will miss Foreigner’s South American run,” Hansen explained. “However, our incredible bandmate Luis Maldonado has been recording some of our hits in Spanish and he will be handling most of the vocals along with Lou Gramm who will be guesting with FOREIGNER for those shows. I know they will smash it!”

The band has implemented this significant lineup adjustment during a crucial period in their international touring schedule. This change reflects their strategic approach to maintain commitments to fans worldwide.

97X revealed that the South American tour will begin in Mexico City on April 28. The band remains committed to their international fanbase despite the temporary lineup change.

Hansen’s absence extends to upcoming Canadian performances. Geordie Brown will join as a guest vocalist to ensure these shows continue as planned.

This arrangement serves two purposes. It honors the band’s legacy while embracing new creative directions. Maldonado’s Spanish-language performances will add a fresh dimension to their shows in Spanish-speaking markets.

Legacy And Evolution

Lou Gramm’s temporary return holds special significance. He provided the original vocals for iconic hits like ‘Feels Like The First Time’ and ‘I Want To Know What Love Is’ during Foreigner’s golden era.

The band’s handling of Hansen’s absence demonstrates their adaptability. Their approach maintains high-quality performances while preserving their musical heritage.
